Built upon Eletechs proprietary CVSD technology, the
QuikVoice boards provide low cost solutions to applications where voice grade audio output is sufficient. However, if higher audio quality is needed, the QuikWave boards should be considered instead.
Depending on the
particular model, the sound segments are stored in either EPROM chips or flash memory. EPROM models offer slightly better sound quality, while flash models offer user recordability. EPROM models are recommended for applications
where messages will rarely or never be changed. Flash models are recommended for applications where messages must be recorded by end users or changed frequently.
For EPROM based (playback only) models, VP880 QuikVoice Development System must be used for sound development. VP880 is a PC based sound digitization, editing and management system. After the sound is developed, it is programmed into EPROM chips with a standard EPROM programmer. Eletech also provides sound development and programming service to customers who do not want to do it themselves.
QuikVoice sound boards are totally self contained. Multiple sound segments can be activated by push buttons, motion sensors or micro-controllers. The audio output can drive a speaker directly or be amplified externally.
Some models offer a BUSY output signal which can be used to turn on/off an external device such as a motor or a lamp. Thanks to their on-board intelligent microprocessors, some QuikVoice boards can be customized to operate
differently. Please contact us for your specific requirements.
