It can be set up to scan and record automatically or manually, and a host computer is required for data storage and system configuration. Once recorded, the data can be accessed on the host computer or from mobile devices (via WiFi). The LCD screen on the unit shows the current scanning frequency, while the built-in speaker allows realtime monitoring of the current radio station. These help greatly with both system operation and trouble shooting. VUB-100FM draws power from the host computer via a USB connection. Its compact size and low power consumption makes it suitable for both mobile and stationary applications.
