SelfTalker EP series provides superior sound quality for permanent POP displays and exhibits. The attractive looking, tamper resistent case with built-in picture frame makes the EP box useful as a display by itself.

Contained in the heavy duty, tamper resistant plastic enclosure are the circuit board, a motion sensor or a push button, a speaker and a battery holder for four D batteries. In addition to the batteries, AC power can also be used with an optional power adaptor. The unit has a fold-out support on the back for free standing, but two mounting holes on the sides are also provided for other kinds of installation.

The message is factory programed into a removable, non-volatile memory cartridge for easy replacement in the field. Spare memory cartridges can be purchased separately.

Depending on the model, the message is activated by either a motion sensor or a push button. The motion sensor is passive infrared (body heat detector) which is much more reliable than photocell (light detector). In order to save battery life in high traffic areas, the motion sensor has a minimum delay between activations. This delay time can be changed at the factory. There is no delay when the push button is used.
