SelfTalker IR series offers great sound quality for adding audio to permanent POP displays and exhibits. Its sound quality is among the best in the market, and the price is right for just about any applications.

Contained in the heavy duty plastic enclosure are the circuit board, a motion sensor or a push button, a speaker and a battery holder for four D batteries (for extended battery life). In addition to batteries, AC power is also useful with an optional power adaptor. Two mounting holes on the side are provided for easy installation. The enclosure is not tamper proof, so the IR units should usually be protected from public access.

The message is factory programed into a removable, non-volatile memory cartridge for easy replacement in the field. Spare memory cartridges can be purchased separately.

Depending on the model, the message is activated by either a motion sensor or a push button. The motion sensor is passive infrared (body heat detector) which is much more reliable than photocell (light detector). In order to save battery life in high traffic areas, the motion sensor has a minimum delay between activations. This delay time can be changed at the factory. There is no delay when the push button is used.
